Ryan Carroll, lead singer for Saturna, put on a great party Saturday night. Saturna played a great set, and Dance Terror played their first live gig. A DJ was also mixing things up before the bands went on and between sets. I am grateful to Ryan and everyone there for letting me hang out and making me feel welcome.
Saturna played two new songs and both of them sounded great. These guys play so solid. I think I've already gushed a bit in earlier posts, so let me just say that if you have a chance to see them live you should drop what you're doing and go. Get more info from Saturna's web site. Dance Terror was fun. I'm not sure how to categorize their music. Disco-tronic-80s-punk-pop? They did some interesting stuff with a MacBook, which dazzled the nerd in me.
